How to See Hidden Files in File Explorer
In the digital age, files and folders are a fundamental part of organizing and managing our data. However, there are instances when files are intentionally hidden from view, either for security reasons or simply to keep them private. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to access these hidden files, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to see hidden files in your file explorer.
1. Open File Explorer
The first step is to open your file explorer. On Windows, this can typically be done by clicking on the folder icon on the taskbar or by pressing the Windows key + E on your keyboard.
2. Change Folder Options
Once File Explorer is open, you need to change the folder options to display hidden files. To do this, click on the “View” tab at the top of the window.
3. Click on “Options”
In the View tab, you will see an “Options” button. Click on it to open the Folder Options window.
4. Go to the “View” Tab
In the Folder Options window, you will find different tabs for different settings. Click on the “View” tab to adjust the visibility of files and folders.
5. Check “Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives”
